I don't know of ANY fords from that era with FI other than a few custom jobs Because "no else has one".
Forget what the problem isn't, but what it is.
I'm pretty sure the tires aren't flat either.

It is not, and if you can't tell, you shouldn't be working on a car.

Your ignition problem statement makes little to no sense.

ignition problem--only if you figure the correct amount of air/gas mixture to cylinder at correct time with correct spark so the mixture can ignite and move the vehicle along the ground to not be an ignition problem

It's worth restoring since it is not the most common model and it will stand out in a crowd, but its also a good looking car to fix up. Anything you can do to a 1973 Mustang you can do to that car. You have to ask yourself is it worth you fixing it up? I like the looks of the car, I owned a 1973 Grand Torino, it was a great car. Have fun with it and do it right the first time and enjoy it.

The Gran Torino was the highest optioned and most expensive Torino in 1973 and a Torino Sport would also most of the time generally be a step above a base Torino. If the car isn't rotted and it has something desirable about it like a factory 4 speed or a large v8 like a 429 or 351 CJ or a lot of factory options like power windows and whatnot then it's worth putting money into. An original 460 equipped Police interceptor would be a rare and valuable find. Being a full framed midsize it will share only a few parts like the powertrain with the more popular Mustang(which was almost as large but a unibody/subframed car).
If it's in good shape then it will be worth saving. If it has significant amounts of rot in and under it not so much unless it's a rare example. 1972 and 1973 were the most numerous years of Torino made with half a million cars sold each year so there's a lot out there. 1973 was the first year of the conventional looking Torinos from the 1970s(which ran thru 1976 with no major changes) with the addition of the squarish 5 mph front bumpers. It still looks good but not as cool as the 1972 and earlier models. It's all a matter of preference though.
Unfortunately, your car isn't even a Sportsroof so it isn't sporty looking at all except for the rims and red paint. It looks like it's in nice shape but of course I can't see what's behind the paint or underneath the car as far as bondo and rust go. It looks devoid of any exterior trim at all and I'm guessing it only has a 250 straight 6 or a 302 2 barrel engine and a bench seat with no console which would make it pretty tame and common. My suggestion would be maintain it but don't sink any major money into it since you'll never get any of it back on a base car like that. It will never be worth much even in pristine shape. Collectors and enthusiasts want the sporty models or at least a base model with a big factory engine. Just drive it and enjoy it as is.
