At what point can a car go to the Smithsonian?
I have a 1973 Ford Gran Torino with 525,000 miles on the origional engine and transmission. The car has been maintained and taken care of well. I bought the car with 115,000 miles on it from my uncle and I put the rest on it. The car is still in relatively good shape with some lower door panel rust, but no other forms of rust on it. Should I try to submit it to the smithsonian, should I write to Ford?
